Little Fluffy Clouds uses CG to create an elegant black and white traditional woodcut style spo.

Escaping the dragon is the theme of Up…Down…Up, a multi award-winning and animation festival favorite that spins a David and Goliath tale. Utilizing an elegant black and white woodcut style it combines traditional cel animation with new and unique techniques in 3D to create an overall woodcut effect. This fast paced and extremely elegant visual treat presented a unique technical challenge for LFC creative and animation director, Jerry van de Beek, who not only created, modeled, textured and animated the piece but also wrote special digital to analogue code, DIANA, to assist in the field chart registration for the cel to digital ink and paint transitions essential to this production.
